Those adjectives describe
both the websites we develop and the process we use to
develop them.
Visitors to your
website are looking for information about your business
or organization. A well-designed site presents that
information in a well-organized, eye-pleasing fashion.
Why Choose Double A
Systems for Your Website?
You need a website, not a
headache. We make these promises:
We communicate in
English, not in geek-speak.
We listen to what
you have to say.
We answer phone
calls and return e-mails promptly.
We tell you about
all the costs up front.
We handle the entire
process and take care of all of the details.
Double A Systems
doesn’t just build your website and disappear. Our
success as a website development company is measured by
the success and satisfaction of our customers.
What Type of Site Do
You Need?
Building a website is like
building a house: some people want a bungalow, others
need a mansion. We will customize a site for your needs.
Single Page Site
- This is a great way to
get a foothold on the internet. Much like a flyer or
postcard, this site lets you publish basic information
about your business/organization and optionally provides
a contact form to receive email from your visitors.
Multi-page Informational Site
- A static site is one
where the content displayed on the site does not change
unless changed manually by the person maintaining the
site. A multi-page site could be three pages or hundreds
of pages. A navigation system provides buttons and links
for your visitors to find their way around the site.
Dynamic Site -
A dynamic site contains
static information like a static site, but also displays
additional content drawn from files or a database. For
example, a membership directory might allow visitors to
search the membership database and display selected
information. Or a calendar page might read calendar data
from a file that is regularly uploaded to the internet.
E-commerce sites read information from a database about
products for sale.
How Do We Work Together
To Build A Site?
Just like building a
house, there are several phases we'll go through to get
you moved into your new home on the internet.
Design =
Architectural Blueprint
The first step is to design your home. We will
meet with you to determine your requirements, and
then come back a short time later with several
design alternatives for your consideration. We’ll
work together to choose a final design from those
alternatives, and then prepare the final
blueprints.
This stage takes some time
on your part. You need to think about what the words on
the site should say, and what types of images you want
to use. We’ll help you with this, but you know your
business or organization the best and can provide the
best content.
Development =
Construction
With the final blueprints in hand, we’ll develop
the computer code for your website. We write
quality, standards-compliant code.
Just like an electrician or plumber follows
building codes when working on your house, there
are “building codes” for websites as well. But on
the internet there is no enforcement agency.
Some developers build quick-and-dirty code to get
the job done as quickly as possible. We don’t. We
develop our code according to established web
standards.
That means the code is easier to maintain and will
continue to function properly as internet
technology evolves.
Deploy = Moving Day
The code
is finished and it’s time to move into its new home on
the web! We’ll help you choose an address for your site
(the domain name, such as www.MyBusiness.com) and we’ll
take care of all the moving details. We can register the
domain in your name (so you own it, not us) and we’ll
arrange to rent space on the internet (called webhosting)
if you choose not to host with us. We’ll transfer the
code to the internet, set up your e-mail accounts and
show you how to use them.
Maintenance = Home Repair and Improvement
After
your move into your new home, you may begin to think
about home improvement projects. Maybe something little,
like painting a room, or major, like adding a sunroom.
As your business or organization changes, you may want
to make changes to your website as well. Maybe you are
running a special this month, or you have some news you
want to get out to your visitors, or maybe you want a
whole new feature on your site.
